Hi, I'm Marisabel and I'm running for Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge.

I've been practicing law for 18 years in the areas of immigration rights, criminal defense, and family law. I am also serving in my 3rd term in the State Assembly advocating for pro-choice, pro-worker, pro-equality legislation to give all Wisconsinites an opportunity to thrive. Prior to the Assembly, I served 6 years on Milwaukee's Fire and Police Commission where I set public safety policy and presided over employee appeals hearings.

I am very driven by equal justice and fair play. I believe when people appear before a judge they don’t care about their cases being labeled “civil” or “criminal.” They care about what they stand to lose – their home, their children, their safety, their freedom. I’m running for judge to ensure our judicial system treats people with respect, compassion, and impartiality so that people understand their rights and obligations in proceedings and get a fair shake. I hope I can count on your vote on April 2, 2024.
